Femi One and Kristoff amazed us with their amazing song Tippy Toe and the energy in it was amazing. So the pair decided, “why not maximize our chemistry?” So they have teamed up again to release a new track called Luku Luku.
The song is about looking at the object of your affections but being forbidden from touching. Teasing. Same thing that goes on in a strip club. So who are we supposed to be looking at in this video, you may ask? Obviously, the punchline must refer to Femi One, “you can look but don’t touch”. she says repetitively.
The song itself is an o.k effort lacking the energy and vibrancy of their previous number. The beat although has a loop that is addictive and for that alone, I give the production team a B+. The first verse by Femi is a bit smart with some witty word-play. Kristoff’s lines were hit and miss for me.
Overall, this song is not a gamechanger and I don’t see it hitting the highs of their previous effort. The joint is produced by Ulopa Ngoma and the video was directed by Johnson Kyalo for Empire Films.
