Lupita Nyong'o is a legend now...as far as the Kenyan entertainment industry is concerned. She was the first Kenyan in history to win an Oscar. With that win came some perks, including having the chance to be cast in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. She has also met the who's who in the global film industry. She has graced every magazine cover imaginable - from Vogue to Essence.

This shall be an interesting year for the star, as she will be in a Broadway play dubbed 'Eclipsed'. This is her first MAJOR Broadway project. When in Kenya, she took part in several plays and TV series, the most memorable being Shuga. Lupita took to Instagram to express her excitement over the project, much to the sheer excitement of her fans:
