The doctor’s strike is in its 71st day, and yesterday the union leaders were sent to jail after a court handed them a 30-day sentence.

A man, whose daughter is amongst the union leaders ( she is also a doctor) currently in jail has penned down a heartwarming letter about her fate.

The letter has gone viral on social media with thousands of Kenyans sending their support to the jailed doctors.

Daisy Korir was among seven KMPDU officials who were sent off to serve their sentences in various jails around Nairobi.
