Grace Nduta Mwaura, a former JKUAT student, is gone much too soon. Family, friends, and relatives converged at their Gatundu home in Thuraku Village, to bid her a final farewell. Her father and mother gave a moving tribute to their dead daughter.

The family was surrounded with so much love and support. Loved by many, the family compound was packed with friends and family who wanted to say their last goodbyes to Grace.

Elizaphan Mwaura's tribute to his daughter was very touching. He wrote in the funeral program that when he first set his eyes on Grace - when she was born -, she "changed my life forever and brought happiness to the family."

He added, "I will always remember how you used to SMS me just to wish me a good day. or send me birthday wishes. The last day I saw you will be a memory that i will cherish forever. It was 25th January when you were packing my swimming items for my swimming lessons. It is hard for me to accept that you are in a better place..Rest in peace mum."

At the funeral, the family did not focus on the brutal manner in which Grace passed on. Rather they chose to celebrate her life and even requested everyone pray for the family as they go through this trying time.

Rest in peace Grace!
