Two months after it was reported that Pam Waithaka, a member of the pop star trio Sema was in , she was earlier this week spotted hitting the bottle. Hard.

Pam was part of the popular trio RnB group called Sema that comprised of musicians Sanaipei Tande and Kevin Waweru. They rocked the charts with their hits like Leo, Sakalakata and Leta Wimbo.

The group dispersed and they each sought out their fortunes as solo artistes. Sanaipei had her stint in radio before she quit to focus on her music career. Kevin went back to school and little is known about what he is up to.

In September Pam was admitted to rehab at The Serenity Place Rehabilitation Centre, situated in the up-market estate of Kahawa Sukari near Kenyatta University and the Kahawa Barracks.

Now, it is not clear whether she finished her stint or she ran away.

Our source claims that, "All the people who knew her (from her pop star days) run away from her because they have to give her something small when they meet her along he streets, which she then uses to buy more alcohol. She never buys food, just alcohol."

According to Shaffie Weru's weekly column in The Star titled The Raverend, Pam has been spotted severally at the Mugoya Shopping Centre at a dingy off-license kiosk called Mugoya Winery that is usually frequented by drunks who want to score cheap drinks.

A source told Raverend,"she begs for handouts and sings for hard liquor. It is sad really, she has been seen with the same outfit for weeks. Other times she just blacks out at the same spot."

Pam's pop star days are gone, now she whiles her days sipping on cheap drinks and chatting with unkempt men with bloodshot eyes.

It is about that time when we start a conversation about how we can save our stars from  this kind of destruction.
