• The 27-year-old sparked a debate earlier on when she called her mom, Esther Akothee the B word on a live video

Budding entrepreneur and marketing guru Vesha Shaillan Okello has finally addressed the reason why she cursed out her mother live on camera.

Speaking during an exclusive interview with Mpasho, the 27-year-old nightclub owner noted she has no remorse for her actions as she sees no fault in cursing in front of her mother.

Vesha sparked an online debate after she used the B word slur to address her mother, singer, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Esther Akothee, who'd paid her a visit lamenting how lonely she was as her kids barely called or visited her in her huge mansion.

Addressing the past video, Vesha argued her mom is her friend and if she can use such language around her friend then her mom is no exception.

"Think about it, that is completely having double standards," started off Akothee's daughter while talking to Mpasho's team. Expounding on her thought process the CEO added, "When you are with your girlfriends you use the B word around them right?

It does not mean you are being disrespectful it is just you guys relate with each other in your comfort zone. So, my mom and I have a very good relationship and she's equally my very best friend"

Finishing up on the subject Vesha stressed the same way she was able to trust her mom as a friend with things going on in her life is how she was able to banter with her on a light note.

"The same way I'm able to tell her my problems is the same way I'm able to banter with her and call her the B word on a light note. It wasn't disrespectful.

I think the ones coming at me are the ones who have strained relationships with their parents. Kenyans need to stop thinking just because I called her that I disrespected her, I think if there's one person who can never be disrespected in this country is my mom," the entrepreneur firmly stated.

Addressing the video of her small sister Rue Baby gleefully dancing with the newly appointed Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Cabinet Secretary Ali Hassan Joho, during Idah Odinga's 74th birthday party, the 27-year-old brushed it off noting Joho was a close friend of the family and it wasn't their first time interacting.

"They were just having fan. You know Joho is a personal family friend, so they were just having fun in a social environment," Vesha told Kalondu.
