Kenyan female artists are not getting enough spotlight - Breeder LW's

• Big Baba has some advise for those hoping for a breakthrough

Kenyan male rapper Big Baba aka Breeder LW was among celebrities who attended the launch of Nadia Mukamis' album 'The Queen Of The East.'

He spoke to Mpasho's Kalondu Musyimi, where he congratulated Nadia for her musical success.

He also hailed the success of female rappers, noting their impact in the game.

"There are a couple of artistes, who are doing very well" He mentioned names of established singers like Maandy, Ssaru, Jovial, Femi One.

The 'Deadly Deadly' hitmaker provided encouraging words to upcoming talent.

"There are a couple, there's even others who are trying to get to the level others are. Tuko na madame wana try kufanya one, two, three. "

He has done a lot of collabos with Maandy,  delivering electrifying performances. Their latest track is dubbed Peleka Chini.

Maandy has a huge fanbase with over 100 videos on her YouTube channel. He noted the challenges female musicians face trying to break through the Kenyan music industry.

"There is that struggle that female artistes face, they are not getting that spotlight, or even that support, the industry sometimes gives them the cold should, nika uko hauko unajua. So that motivation,...if you are there, tia bidii. Be determined yani, Jipange and know what you want, and what you are going for. You will make it" the rapper encouraged.
