• Karuri is a celebrity makeup artist with a masterclass on makeup application

• He's been in the industry for 6 years

Celebrity makeup artist, entrepreneur and social media influencer Dennis Karuri has revealed he made his first million just recently. A feat he doesn't take for granted.

I recently had a sit down with Dennis who is a bubbly ball of energy, ever so lively with a welcoming spirit and he was more than willing to divulge as much as I wanted to know. We talk makeup, relationships, money and future plans.

Despite being one of the pioneers in the now well grown and vast makeup industry that he has been in for over 6 years, Dennis lets me know he made his first million 2 years ago.

"I made my first million like 2 years ago ookkrr," the 27-year-old crossdresser said excitedly.

Before we go on, I ask what pronouns Dennis goes with, and he casually lets me know he is gender fluid and doesn't mind being referred to as he, she or they.

How people perceive him is the least of his worries.

Moving on the makeup artist and teacher lets me know being a million isn't everything in life in as much as he loves securing the bag and the financial security.

"But making a million is not everything, I'm not going to lie. There is still a whole journey ahead of you. The one thing that you need to consider is consistency and your passion. That is what you chase," Dennis asserts.

On what's next for the creative he notes he's been working on a couple things stating, "I think I have been quite chill for a while, but I am coming back! I'm coming back with a bang! They need to be ready; you all need to be ready,"

"Siko soko, nimetoka soko mimi,"the creative tells me when I ask about his love life emphasizing, he's taken, and not for granted.

He, however, refuses to divulge any more on the topic and results to making jokes. We share laughs and move on to a different topic.

Touching on his business he gleeful tells me he's never had a terrible client or someone who's annoyed him in such a long time terming all his clients as his best clients. You can see the love and appreciation as he gushes over people who book him for the glam up.

Finishing up Dennis lets me he is badly eyeing a Mercedes G-Wagon as that is his dream car while his dream destination is the tropical island of Hawaii.
