Legendary DJ Krowbar recently opened up about the challenges he has been facing during his wife's kidney transplant journey.

His wife was diagnosed with Cute Kidney Injury in 2022. Despite multiple attempts, she has been struggling with infections that have complicated the surgery.

However, the couple remains hopeful and is planning to make a fifth attempt at the procedure.

Talking to Mpasho's Kalondu Musyimi during the Gospo 1 concert, he revealed the emotional journey about his wife's illness has taught him how weak he is.

Life has also taught him several lessons as someone around will always get sick, and die and as an individual, you will have to start life afresh.

"We have attempted the transplant severally this year but infections here and there make it hard for the surgery to proceed. We are trying it again for the fifth time. Three things I guarantee will happen in your life, someone around you will get sick, someone around you will die and you will start life all over again," he emotionally said

Calling music a young man's business DJ Krowbar acknowledged that the gospel industry lacks the vibrancy it once had, due to the absence of mentors to guide emerging musicians.

He emphasized that a revolution is needed within the gospel scene, urging artists to adapt to the preferences of their fans.

"Yes the gospel industry has no punch like before, we are lacking gospel artists between the ages of 16-25 unlike the secular side which has many young artists because music is a young man's business. Also, the gospel industry needs mentors to support upcoming artists. In addition for the artists in the game if you fail to adapt with your audience they will forget you," he said

Krowbar appreciated Guardian Angel's growth in the industry as he has seen him grow from grass to grace. He is not surprised about Guardian's success since he knows Guardian has the potential to achieve more.

"I have known Guardian since he was in high school when he used to bring me his music. I am not surprised about his success, he had the potential to achieve what he has now. He changed his sound from dancehall artist to gospel singing which elevated his career." he concluded

DJ Krowbar got an award after the release of the movie Click Click Bang as the best sound designer in the continent at the AMVS.
