US-based Kenyan artist Mobby Mobisa alias Mr paperman has something for his fans.

He has released a new jam dubbed 'Baby Naye' featuring H YOUNG & CLIFF G.

Mobisa says he was inspired to pursue music by 'Jipe Shughli, a group made of his friends and schoolmates.

He sings in vernacular something most artists can't do.

Unknown to many Mobisa has been in the industry for 12 years.

"I was born in Kisii but started my music career in Mombasa Kenya with Ufuoni Records." He told Mpasho

What challenges do vernacular artists face while trying to break into the music scene in Kenya?

"Vernacular artists lack support for a breakthrough. They doing a good job but on the part of making money there is a shortcoming."

His thoughts on the ongoing youth-led protests calling for political reforms in Kenya?

" There is a right to protest for rights and good governance. This will make our leaders focus on good governance. We for sure need reforms in our beautiful country."

How is life in the US compared to Kenya? Any struggles?

Life in the US has ups and downs just like any part of the world.

Struggle to balance between careers and support to our Kenyan families. People are busy sometimes it's hard to attend events unless planned well.

He further added

"The time most clubs and restaurants are active is after 11 PM peple come late to events and by the time a show is supposed to start it's already 2 AM when the clubs are closing.

We have had challenges of being included in shows but We are finally making it."

How does he plan on setting himself apart from other artists?

"I will work with diversity and do more performances, increase my singing skills to international levels."

Are there artists he wants to collaborate with?

"I would love to work with Khaligraph Jones, Nadia, Masauti.

I have done a collabo with Arrow Bwoy."
