Gospel minister, singer, songwriter, and podcaster Kambua recently moderated a panel on grief, loss, and wellbeing at the Hearth Summit, Nairobi edition.

In an exclusive interview with media personality Kalondu Musyimi, Kambua shared her views on wellness, saying, "Wellness to me means being whole—physically, emotionally, and having your entire being in balance."

Kambua emphasized the importance of self-care, stating, "Everyone goes through seasons of grief and loss, and it doesn’t just refer to losing someone. It could be the loss of a job, an opportunity, a dream. We grieve various things, so we need to ensure we don’t get stuck."

She also highlighted the need for spaces where men can grieve, saying, "Society somehow gives a free pass for women to grieve, but we don’t extend the same to men. Even though their grieving process is different, we need to honor it as well."
