Radio Africa Group recently made some restructuring with presenter Jakes Nyanjom eventually securing a spot with one of the best Drive Show presenters at Homeboyz Radio, Lotan.

In a recent exclusive interview with Mpasho's very own Kalondu Musyimi, Jakes Nyanjom revealed some personal details about himself that many netizens had concerning him.

To begin with, Jakes revealed that at first when he got the letter from HR, he doubted what he had seen but after scrutinizing he found out that he had been posted to the drive show with Lotan at Homeboyz Radio, something that left him with mixed reactions.

Jakes, who was a presenter on the midnight show, recalled how it shaped him to be where he is at the moment and also remembers asking himself, "Who listens to radio at night?" 

The young presenter explained how he had been listening to his-now host Lotan since his childhood and explained that he had a one-on-one with him discussing their new show and expressing how amazing Lotan was.

"I'm not filling anybody's shoes, nimekuja kivi yangu kuja kujitafutia na kuona vile nitajipush" Jakes said while also explaining what his fans should expect of him. He explained that the vibe will always be there mixed in with humour.

The presenter also explained that he got a lot of inspiration from Jalang'o and was also influenced by his mother who was also a radio personality,

He then credited Muchina Malomba for being his mentor on his career journey.

Jakes reflected on how his age(18 years) had caused mixed reactions amongst netizens having to reveal that he studied the IGSCE system which made him join college at a tender age.

He went on to divulge that him securing a spot at the Homeboyz radio meant that he had already graduated with a diploma and was currently pursuing a degree at Daystar University.

The presenter jokingly expressed his views on getting a lover when he said that he was still a child.

He added that women were scary and he was actively guarding his heart and vows to remain loyal to the Lord praying that He brings forth a good lady.
