In 2020, Muthoni Wa Mukiri launched Mukiri Hair Hub.

The business was a Premium wigs and Human Hair retail business.

Fast forward to 2023, Mukiri now says the shop is no longer in existent.

In an interview with Victor Amadala,

"No, I am no longer selling hair.

I tried balancing but I couldn't because now I am a full-time life coach, a mother, and a wife.

I realized one thing had to suffer, plus being a wife and a mother is important to me.

Something had to give, and the hair business gave in."

In the past, she shared the hair business was inspired by curious fans

In a past interview, she noted her expertise in the field while dismissing the notion that it was difficult for small businesses to penetrate the market dominated by major brands.

“I have been in this business for a long, Mukiri Hair Hub was inspired by my fans who used to ask me where they can get the best hair and these prompted me to research and find a solution.

Millions and millions of women have different tastes for hair products and thus innovators of women's products just need to be creative and design products that attract the market,” she asserted at the time

Muthoni is now a full-time life coach.
