A recent study showed that women in Murang'a are coughing up to 300K to get other men to impregnate them.

The woman will deposit Ksh 300,000 in the man’s account after getting pregnant.

In an interview with Mpasho, Motivational speaker Sam West says such women should wake up from their 'dream'.

"God didn't create marriage as a mistake. He knew that children needed to be brought up in a marriage setting. Everything God created is perfect and just.

Those women need to reset their minds to default settings."

According to Sam bringing up kids without a father comes with its challenges.

Some of these might end up affecting kids in the future.

"Having children without Fathers has very serious side effects. All children require three things from Fathers

That includes Attention, Affection, and Affirmations

Without Fathers the effects are tough."

Adding;

"60% of inmates are fatherless 90% of convicted rapists are fatherless, 78% of high school dropouts are fatherless, 83% of prostitutes are fatherless, 60% of the LGBTQ community are fatherless."

Muranga is a region affected by high rates of alcoholism.

So bad is the situation that women have in the past gone to the streets to demonstrate saying their men are not 'performing' in bed.

In 2022, Governor Kangata promised to give any woman who got pregnant Ksh 6000

"We will be supporting pregnant mothers with a Ksh 2000, stipend for the last two months of pregnancy and the same amount after delivery.

This will bring the total to Ksh 6,000

Between 2002-2013 there was a similar program where the then Kigumo MP, Jamleck Kamau rewarded pregnant women with Ksh 2,000.

The cash was meant to encourage young people to start families.
