Tanzanian singer Nandy is ready to protect her child by not posting or opening a social media page for them.

The mum-to-be told Mpasho.co.ke that she will not share any information about her baby after they are born.

Nandy said she and her lover Billnass have not done a scan to know about the gender of their child but both are ready with names of their unborn child.

"It is my first time to be a mum and I don't know how it is going to be or if I will be required for me to take a break. But If all goes well, I am willing to start working immediately after my baby comes," she said.

Nandy said she has a planned tour in October which will be a few months after she has given birth.

Nandy said she is in talks with the management to allow her travel with her mum and her sister to help take care of her child.

"For now I want to continue working. It's God's plan and I know I will be able to travel. My baby will be with me all over," she said.

Nandy said the pregnancy has been a smooth one as she has managed to work all through.

She hinted she is due in August.

"I was a bit slow in my first trimester. I could not go and do my shooting. I was afraid I would miscarry. I really thank God for that I have not have challenges. I eat everything but my favourite is maize and water. I eat everything and my appetite is on top," she said.

"About the gender, we want it to be a surprise but the dad and I have a name and we will decide on which one while in the hospital. People have been revealing too much about babies but I am not going to do that.

If bloggers get to know about the gender and names of the child, that is okay, but it will not come from me."

Nandy explained why she does not want her baby photos posted online.

"To post a baby on social media is a decision for both parents but we agreed no social media," she said.

"If any brand wants to work with my baby, I am enough with the branding. My child doesn't have to be online."

Nandy added;

"Social media has both advantage and disadvantages. I don't want to expose my child to that. I will be denying them the rights. I want them to have a different life from mine."
