Popular Tiktoker Pritty Vishy a.k.a Purity Vishenwa has opened up about her childhood and how she ended up clashing with her mother on many occasions.

Pritty spoke to Mpasho about her childhood.

"I won't lie, when I was in school, I was a wild child. I would sleep in class, was a naughty child. I never had good grades. However, there was one teacher who always believed in me. He would give me hopes and my mum was telling the teacher, 'Please look after her, my daughter has potential, her talent will take her far."

However, her relationship with her mum was not always rosy. There was a time she used to sneak out of the house.

"The day she found out she beat me till she left me with a scar on my forehead. She was beating me with a wooden stick."

Later, her mum found out she was running away to avoid her stepdad who was trying to defile her.

To avoid more drama and to protect her child, the mother decided to take her to a children's home in Kawangware when she was in class 5.

Talking about the experience, Pritty told Mpasho, "The worst experience ever, after class 8 my mother took me back home and told me I would never go back to the orphanage again. And she even left my stepdad and moved out."

She has been back to the children's home but just to pick up her KCPE certificate.
