Before his demise, Mzee Jackson Kibor's love life was the talk of the town.
Days after divorcing his third wife, he was in a whirlwind romance with wife number four.
On the family front, Kibor married four wives - the first wife died 30 years ago - and he has 26 children, including 16 boys.
In total Mzee Kibor enjoyed over 50 years in marriage. His divorce from his second wife Josphine Jepkoech was in October 2017. On October 18, 2018, he was granted a divorce from Naomi Jeptoo, his third wife.
During the protracted divorce proceedings, Kibor said, "Even though they were my wives, they really disturbed me, abandoning me to struggle alone, even denying me my conjugal rights and ganging up with my children to disinherit me by illegally taking over some of my assets and selling them off."
“I was so happy the courts allowed me to part with the two women because they had become a burden in my life. I am happier and even feeling younger," Kibor told members of the fourth estate.
News of him hooking up with his fourth wife, Yunita Kibor, - who was half his age - raised eyebrows. Many did not approve, but Kibor was in love and he branded all the naysayers as "Kibor-haters".
The marriage was blessed with four children.
“Yunita has taken good care of me in my sunset years and I don’t regret my decision. She made me feel younger and more energetic," Kibor told The Star back in 2020.
