Aspiring Nairobi Senator Karen Nyamu is due in a few weeks.

Karen is carrying her second child with Mugiithi singer Samidoh.

Well, as the delivery dates nears, her close friends and family put together a baby shower for her on Tuesday.

The private event was held at The Node hotel, Westlands, with less than 20 people in attendance.  The theme of the event was yellow, white and Gold.

Karen wore a Kitenge free dress with colors Green, white, and gold.

There was also a yellow-themed-cake.

The event took place from 5 pm to late in the evening.

Karen Nyamu is due this month. Speaking to Mpasho.co.ke, last month the mother of two said she had a smooth pregnancy journey.

"I prayed about the baby when I got pregnant since I knew I would be in the race," she said adding that she is grateful to God."

Karen Nyamu's baby shower comes a few days after Samidoh's wife Edday Nderitu was thrown a surprise baby shower by her friends.

Edday's baby shower was pink, white, and gold affair held at the Avery Lounge.

Edday is expecting her third child with the Mugithi singer.
