Karen Nyamu will welcome her third child in February next month.
Speaking to Mpasho.co.ke, the mother of two said her pregnancy has been very smooth that she has even been going for her campaigns as heavy as eight months.
"I prayed about the baby when I got pregnant since I knew I would be in the race," she said adding that she is grateful to God."
Karen is vying for a senator position in Nairobi County using the UDA party.
"I have not had any issue with the pregnancy and the baby is safe. Even the things that seem impossible before men, through prayers, they turn out very positive."
Speaking about how she will handle motherhood and politics Karen said she will take a one-month break.
"Maternity leave does not have to be a three months period. With my son, there was a time, I had to travel to Mombasa to and from and it was one week after and he was okay. All I need is planning which is already done. I have a very strong team behind me."
This is her second child with Mugiithi singer Samidoh.
