A requiem mass for Mama Rosebella Jerono, the stepmother of ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi was held on Thursday at the Friends church-Quakers in Nairobi.
This saw friends and family members gather together to celebrate the life of Mama Rosebella, who died on November 24 while receiving treatment in the USA.
At the requiem mass, Mudavadi had a short tribute for his stepmother.
"God gave you to us and now he has called you. Thank you for your motherly care and love. Fare-thee-well Mama," read a tribute from Mudavadi, his wife and children.
One of Mama Rosebella's daughters, Catherine described her late mum as a calm and loving person.
"She never raised her voice at anyone. Not even her children. Nor did she look down on anyone. She always looked outside of herself," Catherine eulogised her mother.
"Losing a mother is the deepest sorrow for one to bear, yet i take it all with courage and with the faith that in all things God works for the good of all those who love him," eulogized her son Geoffrey.
