Comedian Eric Omondi says his brand is being affected after Jacque Maribe accused him of being a deadbeat.

Speaking to Mpasho.co.ke, Eric said brands he works for are calling him asking questions about the issue. He said,

"One of the brands I work with called me asking why I do not support my child yet they pay me."

Eric added that he is angry with the TV personality and asked Maribe to stop tarnishing his brand.

"I have built this brand for 14 years and for an intelligent woman like her to wake up and stand branding me names, makes me very angry. If I post anything, all am receiving is backlash and hate," he bemoaned.

Eric said that although they have their ups and down, Jacque should have called him rather than bringing their private issues in the public.

"If you attack me, I will attack your village. Women are protected by the society unlike me. The reason I posted my last statement is that I realised I am the one who is affected and I had to come out and say the truth. We have our issues but she should not bring them to the public."

Eric insisted that he is willing to pay for a DNA test as soon as today;

"Someone should advise her to stop exposing this child, he will be ridiculed. Why didn't she just call me and ask about the post that triggered her to call me a deadbeat? I am willing to take the test and even if it comes out negative, I will still take care of that child. He is very innocent."

Mpasho reached out to Jacque but her phone was offline.
