On October 31, the world marked Halloween day.

The tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts.

Yesterday, Kenyans in their hundreds embraced Halloween by taking it a notch higher through their appearance and costumes.

At the Village market in Nairobi, both adults and children marched up to the occasion.

Children get to engage in an exchange of tricks or treats which grab them a chance to enjoy candy.
