Slain actress Monicah Monnie is being mourned after her life was cut short by her boyfriend.

Monnie was shot six times in her home in Mukuru Kwa Njenga on Tuesday 14, September 2021 night, by her boyfriend who is now on the run.

Police are investigating the murder. Embakasi police boss John Nyamu said the suspect is known to them and has been on a wanted list.

Monicah's sister, Eunice Wambua is still coming to terms with the unfortunate manner in which her sister lost her life.

"Leaving you lying lifeless in that mortuary bed is the worst thing that has ever happened to me in my life..."

She cried, "I love you! I love you! I love you! My sister, my best friend, my mama's namesake. RIP Monica. I love you sister even in death you're still my best niece...I love you mamii...RIP darling."

Eunice added, "I'll not rest until justice is served! J**l, why my sister's blood? The bullets in her body broke my heart into pieces...You took my everything lakini ni sawa, I pray God asikuache hivo tu!"

She then called for #JUSTICEFORMONICA.

Paying her tribute, Eunice continued, "Pole my love, I was not there to help you. Rest my lovely one."
