Back in 2009, Betty Kyallo was not on TV as a news anchor, but she was making strides towards that.

She saw an opportunity to feature as an extra in a music video by Rongai based artiste S Kay.

At the time, his fresh new hit, Mdogo Mdogo had been released and he needed visuals to push it further.

At the time, Betty was in university pursuing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication.

Speaking about this music video, Betty said laughing, "Don't look for it. Don't Google it, musinirudishe nyuma."

She added:

"I was looking like problems back then, tulijaribu. I was in braids, and a tank top (crop top). My brother was the one directing the music video so he would never have allowed for me to be the main video vixen, I was an extra, i was dancing huko on top of the speaker."

The music video was shot by Betty Kyallo's older brother, Brian Msafiri.

That was back then, soon, Betty will make a cameo on the new Hart The band song, My Jaber.

"I'm very excited about it because the standard of the music video set and shoot is high level and Hart The Band also happen to be my friends and people."

Betty added, "It is such a beautiful song, I love the luo-ness in it. It is grand, you know the beat is so good and I think for Hart The Band's new album, they outdid themselves not just with My Jaber. I'm happy to be part of it."
