A city woman went through a gruelling ordeal of being robbed right outside her home. 

The CCTV footage of the robbery incident took place in the Kiamunyi area in Nakuru, on July 6, 2021, in the morning.

In the video clip, you can see the woman waiting outside the gate for it to be opened before a rider on a motorcycle zooms past her, stops a few meters ahead and the passenger alights. 

The unsuspecting woman was focused on her phone unaware that she had been marked for attack.

The man who has covered his face to avoid detection by the CCTV cameras advances toward the woman and attacks her. She is stuck between the gate wall and the menacing thug who is hell-bent on grabbing her phone.

She doesn't give up her phone that easily and it leads to a tussle where the robber overpowers her and runs off to board the motorcycle to getaway.

This is one of the many robbery incidents that have rocked the country due to the lack of jobs and the rising cost of living.
