Kenyan comedienne Elsa Majimbo has revealed reasons why she moved out of Kenya and would not wish to come back.

According to Elsa, Nairobi people have been portraying negativities towards her.

"I trend on Kenyan Twitter so much, and people will be so sorry for the bad comments. They will be like texting me, calling me, saying sorry. And I don't want people feeling bad for me," she said.

The 19-year-old who has been staying in Dubai said that she would rather go to South Africa than stay in Nairobi.

Speaking in an interview with Anas Bukhash, Elsa said that she is not happy with her surroundings because there are so many bad things.

"Negativity has a way of overshadowing the good, and for me. I don't think it is the bullying that affected me but the pity from it. Coz am a tough girl, I need to have tough skin. I dint like people feeling sorry for me."

She said that she can handle bad comments but not people feeling pity for her.

Elsa added that some of the pity messages she receives are not from people with good intentions.

"Even in the beginning, I would have some friends, when people say bad things about me on the internet, they send me a screenshot and say they are sorry for me. If i was your friend I would never do that to you. I would not see people insulting you and send it to you."

Elsa started her online comedy in 2016 and stopped it in 2017 because of pressure to focus on her KCSE examinations.

Afterwards, she embarked on entertaining fans online and has found an audience internationally. South Africans are her biggest fans.
