Veronica Wanjiru is the woman who was first married to Fidel Odinga, a union that captured the hopes of the nation. Even the "ngurario" was shown on news! Sadly, that union was short lived. Fidel moved on and married Lwam Bekele and the union was blessed with a son.Tragically, Fidel Odinga passed on to glory early January 2015. At his funeral, his uncle and aunt tore at his first wife Veronica Wanjiru for not giving him a son. Well, she responded to the allegations in an interview.

She was asked about what she felt about jabs thrown her way by Oburu Odinga;

"My comment on the entire issue is, 'I choose not to comment'. Not because I have nothing to say but because I would rather keep quiet. I am a private person and wouldn't to run my mouth."

"People can talk. If I was to write, I would fill a book with alot of nasty things people said about me and Fidel. I can publish a book about it. People just talk."
