Captain Phinious Torut, the esteemed pilot and flying instructor who passed away after his plane crashed in Limuru a week ago, was buried at the weekend at his home town in Eldoret. He is , someone who was humble and willing to learn from his students.

No one at Wilson Airport was expecting such a happening; it left his students shattered.

The plane crashed into a house and transmitter masts, knocking out several radio stations off air. Radio Africa's stations were among the affected but they're since back on air.

Yesterday, Torut he was laid to rest amid attendance by his students, top pilots in the country, family and management from Wilson.
