If you were born in the ’80s and early ’90s then you know that letters were a way of communication as smart phones were for the 'rich.’

Students in boarding schools would write letters to their crushes in different schools and send them via post.

The humor of it all is the contents of the letters.

Below are some of the ‘stupid’ things people did in the ’80s and ’90s to prove their love.

Spraying the letter

Before putting the letter in an envelope the lovebirds would spray it with their favorite cologne or body spray.

This was done so that the letter would get to the recipient smelling good.

Song dedications

At the end of the letter, they would dedicate songs to the recipient. The songs would be either two or three.

This was after lots of paragraphs expressing how they make each other’s hearts go paragasha.

Graffiti

Yes, you read that right.

Some students would spend so much time drawing graffiti’s on the envelope before sending the letter.

This was either done to impress the lady by doing something unique or to just show off their skills,

Photos

One would put their latest photo inside the envelope so that when their bae misses them while still in school they would be able to look at it.

Exchanging ties

Students would exchange ties during functions such as drama festivals, science congress among many other school functions.

What other ‘stupid’ thing did you ever do to prove your love to your crush at the time?
