Even Celebs Suffer! Jeff Koinange Narrates Emotional Story Of How He Was Sacked By CNN Among Other Things

TV and radio presenter Jeff Koinange has finally spoken up about the worst moment in his life.

At the height of his career, Jeff Koinange went through a lot and through a series on Hot 96 FM titled ‘A Story a Day,’ he revealed that the rape allegations against him, which were made by a female acquaintance, whom he had never met face to face with but only communicated via email.

"There were rumors that there was a woman in Europe who was in touch with me who wanted me to connect her with Oprah Winfrey to promote a book she had been working on. I told her Oprah is not that type of friend I just introduce anyone to, but she kept pushing and pushing," he said

Adding that ;

"She became a stalker threatening me through the mail. One day she wrote a story on her blog that I had attempted to rape her. The rumors got to my boss who ended up firing me,” he added.

Jeff Koinange also revealed that he was fired through a phone call while driving on a busy highway.

"My boss called me and asked me to pull off the highway (I was driving at the time) and he said 'Listen man, there is too much crap- too many rumours and I don’t think we can sustain you any longer, we will need to let you go'".

This was a bad one for the multi-talented media personality as he and his wife were expecting a baby in two months time.

"But he said - don’t worry, we will pay you for the rest of your contract so you will be sorted but we just want to sever this relationship."

Koinange narrated what he went through as a journalist in foreign countries and about his personal life through his book titled 'Through My African Eyes'. He addressed the Niger Delta story, Marianne Briner-Mattern who accused him of fraud losing his job at CNN following the rape-scandal.

Jeff's story is a great example that celebrities also suffer and that most have gone through a lot in life despite the smiles they put on while in public.
