In 2007, gospel artist Evelyn Wanjiru was left paralyzed after getting injured for wrongly using a roller trying to lose weight.

 “I TRIED TO LOSE WEIGHT BY EXERCISING USING A ROLLER AT ONLY AGE 16, BECAUSE I WANTED TO FIT IN.

AT ONE POINT, MY LEGS BECOME PARALYZED.

My legs stopped working and that threw my mum into depression.'

She shared what she did to regain movement on her legs.

'My mum took me for physiotherapy. They would put my entire body inside a machine and they would burn me from the waist downwards and my legs refused to heal.

I asked my mum if God really existed to which she assured me he did.'

Adding

'I took a bible and read a verse from Job and it's that my defender lives 

God promised to heal me and in return I would spread his word through my talent (singing) after that I sang my song 'Waweza.'

In conclusion, Everlyn advises,

IF YOU USE THE ROLLER, THE WRONG WAY IT CAN KILL YOUR NERVES. THAT IS WHAT HAPPENED TO ME, ALL MY BACK NERVES DIED.

 I HAD TO UNDERGO PHYSIOTHERAPY BECAUSE I WAS ILL FOR A YEAR.

IT WAS A MIRACLE [THAT I RECOVERED].
