This past week a video has been floating around social media that showed a women being beaten by alleged husband identified as Daudi Nzomo Manyenze. Evelyn Mwende, has spoken for the first time after the viral video saying she has been persevering the physical assault for a long time now.
The two are from a Makueni county and according to resident, Mwende started having issues with her hubby when Nzomo married a second wife. She sould ran back home whenever the man beat her.
She told The Standard.
He has been assaulting me most of the time, but because I was for the marriage, I persevered till this happened to me
The office of the DPP has ordered that Nzomo should be arrested.
The DPP has directed the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to immediately have (the) suspect arrested and arraigned before court.
Other people who were heard on the video pleading with Nzomo to stop beating the woman without doing anythinmg to help will also face the consiquences.
Mwende is at the Makueni level four hospital where she is healing her wounds.
