Eric Omondi is many things: A comic, a romantic, a serial serenader, skinny, a skinny-dipper, has huuuuge balls and is now the most followed Instagrammer in Kenya.
Which is no mean feat. But one thing that many are now wondering is how deep his relationship with Jacque goes?
That is after he posted an image of Jacque’s son on his Instagram page.
What ensued were queries for him to confirm whether Jacque’s son was his. Remember the Nairobian ran an article last week in which they said that confidential sources had intimated that he was the father.
Even Eric’s friends in the comedic circles that he rolls in confided that it was an open secret. A source close to Jacque told the Nairobian:
HER BABY DADDY IS ERIC OMONDI BUT HE BAILED OUT ON HER AND THIS PROFOUNDLY AFFECTED HER.
According to the tabloid. Eric denied the claim when they called him for comment:
I KNOW THE BABY DADDY, HOWEVER, IT IS NOT A GOOD TIME TO REVEAL HIM SINCE JACQUE IS UNDERGOING A DIFFICULT TIME.
The question on many people’s lips is why post the photo now and to what end? We called Eric for an explanation and he refused to comment on the issue leaving us to speculate, which we are very good at. Very… Like a prophet of doom…
So here are my theories on why he posted the image:
He is indeed the father?
Even if you say that his prior relationship to Jacque justifies him supporting her in her time of need, it does not explain posting an image of her son. There is something very off about that.
Most men would not post images of a woman they were intimately involved with and with a child they had not sired. Can it happen? Yes. But very rarely.
He crossed the 1.4 million mark of followers on his Instagram page. Posts like this make his page a must-follow! Must. And that image will just add to the buzz.
He finally realizes that he did Jacque wrong by not publicly admitting that he was the father of Zahari. And now he is trying to make up for lost time. Maybe?
He is trying to be a good father after his not playing his role well before. Hmmm?
What do you think?
