Comedian Eric Omondi has postponed his 'reality show' yet again. The scripted Wife Material show is aimed at getting the comedian a wife.

The comedian says he postponed it for the second time due to Ramadhan as some of the contestants are Muslim.

"As we anticipate and prepare for the return of #WifeMaterial2. (Which was to begin this week and has once again been postponed because of Ramadhan that begins tomorrow, 5 of our contestants are Muslims. The show will officially return and start airing on the 17th of MAY 2021)" he wrote

Omondi had postponed his show after the death of Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli. Before that, the show had been put to a hold for airing violence after a fight emerged at a popular club between the contestants.

The comedian has vowed to compete with the rest of the world when it comes to matters entertainment

The Kenyan Entertainment Industry scene has come along way from our founding fathers the likes of Mzee Ojwang (Comedy) and Daudi Kabaka (Music). They say if you dont grow, you die!! and our Industry must grow to survive this highly competitive era of Digital online content. I could easily get by by simply doing a Luhya joke here and a Kisii joke and describe how Meru's dance and that was hella funny!!! But times have changed and I realized if we dont move, again we Die!!! Eric Omondi is still here today after 13 years and still top of his game because he has kept GROWING, RE BRANDING and RE INVENTING over the years. Now the focus has changed, There is a higher calling, I am tasked with the responsibility of Entertaining my countrymen,Kenya while seeking not only to compete with the rest of the Continent but to conquer it. If the dream is to Conquer the Continent and if the Vision is to take over the World then the plan must change, The strategy must be very intentional and we can nolonger only focus on our previous tribaly motivated jokes about how the Kiuks love money and the Luhyas love food while the Kambas love sex. We must not only captivate Tanzania and Uganda but we must capture Nigeria and South Africa. We must get to California and raise the East African flag in Hollywood. #WifeMaterial is just but the beginning of this long journey but we will walk every step of it. So help us GOD🙏🙏🙏
