Subsequent to a viral cub brawl video that saw him trending on the socials for his antics with show - Wife Material season 2, decorated comic Eric Omondi was apprehended by the DCI (Directorate of Criminal Investigations) over allegedly unlawful production of films.

This comes after streaks of censures from Kenya Film Classification Board boss Ezekiel Mutua who has perpetually rebuked Eric for his overblown social media antics.

The comic, showing overt disregard, has gone ahead to set on diatribes at the boss for being a constraint to arts and larger entertainment industry.

A fraction of netizens reacted to the comic’s arrest with some arguing that the KFCB boss was now cracking down on Eric using the DCI after his Wife Material show turned violent.

On the flip side, fractions of concerned netizens have chimed in, arguing that KFCB is stifling digital media by using stringent and non-existent rules.

For now, Eric Omondi’s famed show hangs in the balance.
