Why Newton Henry doesn't include his brother Flaqo in his skits

•Henry Newton is a comedian and a scriptwriter who wants to be recognized as who he is and not compared to his brother Flaqo.

Henry Newton is a comedian and also the brother to the famous comedian and script writer Flaqo.

In an interview with Obinna at Obinna TV, the comedian says that most people recognize him as Flaqo though he didn't feel offended by that since it would bring him into the spotlight.

" Nilikuwa nikitembea kwa bara bara and when I meet with people, they used to refer to me as Flaqo and I became tired of explaining who I was na nkazoea kuwa referred to as Flaqo." He said.

Newton explains that he started off comedy when he came to Nairobi and he used to watch his brother do the shootings and him behind the camera prompted him to try it and after all he noticed he could do it.

Being asked why his brother does not appear in most of his skits he says that,

" It's intentional that I don't involve my brother in my comedy because I want to be known as me and not as Flaqo's brother because when someone is calling me Henry and another calling me Flaqo's brother, they are putting me in a certain level."

Saying that if he wanted to be recognized it's not hard for him because if he could ask his brother to do skits with him he wouldn't refuse.

" If it was about chasing the superstardom, si hard I would just hang around my brother na nikimwambia we do this video and this together haezi kataa. Coz there are times that I give him ideas of what I want to do he's cool with it but I avoid coz I don't think it will be that beneficial to me after all."

Newton also plays all the characters and roles in his skits. He also and edits his own content and at times he shoots them himself.

" I edit the content and shooting is done by a member of my team and sometimes if he's not around I just set my my phone and tripod and shoot."

He also says that there are also challenges that he faces while shooting his content since it's not easy at all. Claiming that he also lost a footage that he had just shot for a job.

"I was just editing and in the process due to space, I mistakenly deleted the videos I was editing, it's painful so I just slept repeating the same clips the following day."

Henry says that he has a very supportive fan base that has shown him support and helped him grow.
