First daughter Charlene Ruto is enjoying moments in New York, where a Kenyan delegation is attending the UN General Assembly 79th meeting.

Charlene shared pictures and a video walking the streets of New York as she blew kisses at the camera.

Her outfit of choice for the stroll was a burnt orange skirt, a white long-sleeved shirt, and a grey coat.

Her hair was in braids which were held up in three buns, as she held onto a black handbag.

"Today...I walked into The Future..." she shouted her joy.

The background music she chose was from US singer Alicia Keys's Empire State of Mind, a collaboration with Jay Z.

She sang the lyrics, and she appeared upbeat. The song is about the HOPE that New York represents; the possibility. The chance to follow your dreams no matter who you are or where you come from.

She addressed a gathering on Monday, Sep 23.

She is among select dignitaries attending the Summit of the Future 2024 in New York through her organization, Smart Mechanized Agriculture & Climate Action for Humanity & Sustainability (SMACHS Foundation).

"Allow me to welcome you to Kenya, we have beautiful beaches, we are the only country where our National Park is in the Capital City, and we have swimming lions. So come and experience it for yourself. I think it was only right and a good coincidence that I came to speak after the amazing young people who have spoken and because I dont have time to share all the work I do with young people, allow me to share my website"

Charlene as well shared pictures with the individuals who spoke, and whose work she is impressed with.

"Spent a powerful day cheering on my sister, Ambassador @Lynette_mwende, at the United Nations Summit of the Future Action event, where she delivered a brilliant keynote address at the China Pavilion.

I’m inspired by her message and the innovations shared by young people under 16 years of age from China, whose work is paving the way for a better future. I strongly believe it is crucial for us to support each other as young people and build each other up. Congratulations to all the young innovators – keep up the amazing work." read her congratulatory message to them.
