An old video of Diamond Platnumz explaining his meet up with American rapper and record producer Sean Combs aka Diddy has surfaced.

In a 2021 interview, Diamond said he met up with Diddy when he was in the US after being nominated for the BET awards.

"Tulienda kwa Diddy siku moja kabla ya Uhuru wa Marekani. Tulikua kwa Diddy, tulienda usiku. Tukakaa, kuna mambo tulikua tunafanya, yaliyofanyika sio ya kupost kwa sababu yana feature yanayoendelea mbele. "

(We went to Diddy's place a day before the American Independence Day and we went at night. We stayed there cause there were things we were doing that were not supposed to be posted on social media because it involved future projects)

He added;

"Tulifanya vitu vingi na watu wengi sana" (We did so many things with many people)

Diamond explained that Diddy had followed him even before he had travelled to the US "ina maan ni mtu anayetambua shughuli zangu, kwa namna moja au nyingine amependezwa na mziki wa KiTanzania."

(it means he is someone who knows what I do and appreciates Tanzanian music)
