Zari was born on 23rd September 1980 in Jinja, Uganda. Her parents are Nasur Hassan and the late Halima Hassan.
She is a Ugandan based in South Africa who describes herself as a boss lady. She oversees Brooklyn City College (BCC), a South African based diverse, progressive educational institute.
The mother of five is married to Ugandan businessman Shakib Cham.
She and the late Ivan Semwanga share three sons; Pinto, Rapheal and Quincy. She and Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz sired two kids when they were dating; Princess Tiffah and Prince Nillan.
She is also a realty TV Star, brand ambassador and philanthropist.
