Kenyan musician Stephen Odera, popularly known as Stevo Simple Boy, has confessed his strong admiration for Tanzanian actress Frida Kajala Masanja.

On Saturday, the rapper living in Kibera posted a video on his Instagram page showing himself cooking a fish meal.

In the video, Stevo explained that although he was managing to cook on his own, he wished Kajala were the one cooking for him.

“I’m cooking my own food here. But when I cook, I only see a little girl called Kajala,” Stevo said in the video.

The musician went on to profess his deep love for the mother of one and praised her evident beauty.

“Kajala, Kajala Kajala, man, I’m in love with you, and you’ve really impressed me. Kajala, please come cook for me, wash my dishes, and clean my house,” he said.

He added, “I’m telling you, Kajala, you’re a beautiful girl. You’re a complete package, a lovely person, a charming individual. You’re full of energy. You’re a real treasure. Kajala, I’m telling you I love you.”

This comes at a time when Stevo Simple Boy is believed to be single after separating from his former wife, Grace Atieno.

Kajala’s current relationship status is unknown as she has been very private since her breakup with bongo flava star Rajab Abdul Kahali, known as Harmonize.

Kajala ended her relationship with Kondeboy nearly two years ago after dating for several months. The celebrities reconciled in May 2022 after a year of separation.

Harmonize made numerous efforts to apologize to Kajala and woo her in hopes of reviving their broken relationship.

When announcing her breakup with the musician in December 2022, Kajala made it clear that she was ready to move on after their brief relationship hit a dead end.

Although she did not reveal what caused their separation, she made it clear that she held no grudge against the musician.

“As a woman and a human being, I was created to love and forgive too, but in this situation, I deserve to be laughed at, belittled, and disdained. I’m not here to defend myself or seek sympathy; I know I made mistakes and have recognized them. I am not perfect,” Kajala said at the time.

In an interview with a local radio station earlier this year, Kajala hinted that she left Harmonize due to routine issues.

“I don’t know what to say. Maybe it was just the routine. When someone gets used to you a lot, they start to take you for granted,” she said.

The 43-year-old actress suggested that Harmonize might not have been ready when she decided to settle into a relationship with him and that he may have needed space to handle his personal matters.

“Honestly, I don’t blame him because he is a younger person. Maybe he needed space; we were very close. The first time, I feel like he might have seen it as a joke, saying he wanted this person, wanted to be with me 24/7. We would wake up, go to the gym, and do this and that. Maybe he needed his own space to do his things,” she said.

Kajala clarified that she agreed to get back together with the head of Konde Music Worldwide because she still loved him.
