Stanley Mutisya, a man who bears a striking resemblance to Lang'ata MP Phelix Odiwour, famously known as Jalang’o, has responded after the politician advised him to seek meaningful employment.

Speaking to online media, the man who identifies himself as Jalas Junior on social media revealed that he has already made efforts to support himself.

Mutisya asked the first-term MP to assist him, despite their ethnic differences, noting that he also resides in the Lang'ata constituency.

“To be honest, I look like you. I think you’re not willing to help me because I’m not a Luo, I’m a Kamba. Don’t let that stop you from helping me. I’m currently working hard and people close to me know my efforts. I have also studied,” Mutisya said.

He requested Jalang’o to arrange a meeting with him soon and use his influence to help him secure a job opportunity.

In his appeal, the young man pointed out that there might be a possibility that he and the politician share a blood relationship.

“I’m from Lang'ata. Forget the idea that you can’t help a Kamba just because you’re a Luo. You never know, I could be your relative and you don’t know it. I could be your real sibling. Also, I’m hardworking and I’m working. Sir, please intervene and help me out,” he pleaded.

This comes just days after Jalang’o appeared on the Iko Nini podcast where he advised Mutisya to seek meaningful work.

During the episode, the former radio host stated that the man identifying himself as Jalas Junior does not need to look like him to achieve success.

Jalang’o encouraged the young man to pursue any work he would be doing if he were not trying to emulate him.

“Let’s say he didn’t resemble me. He should do what he would be doing if he didn’t resemble me. If you see something you would be doing and it helps you, do it even if you don’t resemble me. It’s not necessary for me to be the one you follow,” Jalang’o advised Mutisya.

The first-term MP clarified that looking like someone is not a job and emphasized that Mutisya needs to find something meaningful to do.

“Resembling me is not a job. You know people asked him, ‘What would you like to do?’ He said he could do the things Jalas used to do. Start, you don’t have to be like me to do it. Do something you would be doing if you didn’t resemble me, because even I am not a job,” he said.
