Zari Hassan says a statement she made about her husband Shakib Cham was taken out of context. In a video that went viral last month, Zari asked Shakib what he was bringing to the table. She added that women who want to be with her husband must be ready to pay the bills.
She has explained that she did not mean financial but emotional support.
"That is not what I meant. It is not financial, you can have a man who emotionally supports you like taking the children for soccer and netball practice for Tiffah if I’m not around, something like that," she said
She added that not everything is about the money.
"I’m a hustler. I work so hard so when I get back tired from wherever I’m coming from, I need emotional support like to ask me how was your day, I will only need your advice when I tell you about my many problems. It is not about the money, sometimes I need you to talk to me."
She said that people judge her because they do not know the full story.
"That is why I’m here for the sake of my marriage so I won’t say anything else. People just went with what they saw and they judged from that.That is not what I meant. It is not financially, you can have a man who emotionally supports you."
