Govi- I was told I wasn't good enough

Celebrated Kenyan actor  Malik Lemy has shared highlights of challenges he went through after he started acting at an early age.

He shared how he had to over come bullying adding that his mum wasn't spared from the scrutiny. 

Sharing an old photo of himself, he captioned

"19 years ago when it all began! Makutano JunctionBarely 5 years old and I could speak English😁That baby you see there has never stopped dreaming. I am proud of you King Malik! Thank you @karenithagariene for supporting my career since way back despite being told you’re exploiting your child. They don’t understand where we’ve come from and haters will always hate."

He went on to thank legendary producer Naomi Kamau saying

"To Naomi Kamau, one of the greatest producers and writers, who took a shot at me and guided me as my first producer. I will always appreciate you. I give you all your flowers. Machachari show changed my life. Thank you.

To the people who’ve watched me grow my craft, thank you for your support always. You deserve all good things."

Govi hinted that at some point he was told he wasn't good enough for the trade (acting)

"It wasn’t easy, all the trolling, working day and night, all the bullying in schools, fame, being told you’re not good enough, typecasting but here we are! Ni GodNever let anyone tell you that you cannot do it. You can!"

In conclusion, he eulogized Charles Ouda who he worked with on Makutano Junction.
