Hasmukh Patel, the founder of the cement company Mombasa Cement Limited will be cremated on Sunday 1st August.
Patel passed away on Thursday, August 29 after a short illness, he died aged 58.
According to family spokesperson Samir Bhalo, Patel complained of stomach pain two days ago.
He was rushed to hospital on Thursday where he was pronounced dead in the emergency department. Patel who was known as Hasuu is survived by a widow and three children. The late Patel is the founder and owner of Mombasa Cement Limited.
He was also the director of Corrugated Iron Sheets. Leaders praised Mr Patel as a person who positively affected people's lives, especially the residents of Mombasa.
The late Chief Executive Officer of Mombasa Cement Ltd Hasmukh Patel will be buried on Sunday in Mombasa.
President William Ruto is expected to attend, the burial.
According to Hindu death rituals, the body should remain at home until cremation, which is usually within 24 hours of death.
Due to the short duration of Hindu cremation, cremation is considered unnecessary. It is also customary for family and friends to visit the home of the bereaved to pay their respects and condolences.
