The number 8 is very significant to singer Octopizzo.

The Kibra born musician launched his eight-album called Kich Ka Liech.

" It means nyuki zina murder elephants,"

He broke down the meaning further to SPM Buzz

"saa hii uiuliza mtoi between nyuki and elephant, gani inaweza piga ingine? Of course elephant. So hii ni mentality tumekuwa nayo ati kitu yoyote kubwa tunafaa tuiogope. So ni kuchange hipo mentality like the small things, or the small people waki come pamoja, washikane, wanatoa the big person, wanatoa the big elephant in the room."

He referenced it to Kenya's current situation between Gen Z and the Government.

"So saa hii unaweza sema gen Z ni kich, na Liech ni gava."

His late dad loved this slogan Kich Ka Liech

"This was dads' slogan. This is what my dad used to call himself, Onyango Hanga Kich Ka liech, because he was an underdog but over the time when he came to Nairobi, he lived in Kibich, then returned home, to build a home. So, for him, those underdogs rose to challenge the big guys. So, this was his slogan. So, I took it ni ka ilengthen"

This is Octopizzo's 8th album,

"I wanted it to be symbolic. I didn't just want it to be just another album. People know I can rap, I have bars, what else more than rap? For me personally it was more than rap. From the production to the artiste featured, the sound that I'm going with ni sound sijawahi skia. No other artiste has done this sound. The writing is different, if you realize most of the songs, it has swa and English, "

Octo also wants his children to know their heritage through this new album.

"That was on purpose, coz for me it's like I'm doing a documentary of myself, in a musical way. So, I have been telling people, in case I get dementia, I'm not even able to tell my kids what I do. I will even forget my name."

His dads love for music as well introduced Octopizzo to music

"If it was not for mzee, I would not be a rapper. If he didn't introduce me to music to music from Kanda bongo Man, Arlus Mabele, that's what I grew up listening to. So, I wanted to reincarnate that one into now"
