Dancer Flirty Carlos is rebranding himself to build a more lucrative career by steering clear of drama and clout chasing.

In an interview with YouTuber Oga Obinna, Flirty spoke about the growth of the industry and tried to clarify his unconventional relationship status, leaving even the audience puzzled.

Carlos described his relationship as dating a friend, where they allow each other to be with others but avoid the term "open relationship."

He explained that they have moments where they break up but remain friends. "I'm dating my friend. As in, we break up, but when things are good, we're just friends, though we’re still dating," he said.

He stressed that the complexity of their relationship doesn't bother him. "She's my girlfriend, but she's still my friend. We're sticking to the friendship part because that’s where we genuinely care about each other. With a girlfriend, there’s always drama, but as friends, we get along better," Carlos shared, explaining how they decided to maintain a friendship-based relationship.

He added, "We figured being friends works better. It's easy — she can get to know others, and so can I, but we always come back to each other. Instead of her cheating, she's allowed to 'cheat' now. She's my friend, but when we meet, she's my girl. It's easier that way."

When Obinna asked if this wasn't an open relationship, Carlos insisted, "Not open. I said she's allowed to know others, so instead of me getting angry, that's how I console myself. So I don't want to get angry over..."

He continued, "Like I said, she gets to know other people, not that she's cheating. That's how I deal with it, so I don't get mad."

Obinna further questioned if Carlos cheats, to which he replied, "I don't cheat. Remember, I'm in a relationship, sort of. I'm in a relationship but single. Yes, if you're in a relationship, you'll be stressed. So, it's better if you're just friends to avoid conflicts. You won't have to worry about them cheating..."

The conversation left Obinna even more confused, especially when Carlos mentioned he doesn't get jealous if his girl flirts in front of him. He even admitted he wouldn't mind if she dated a wealthy older man.

"By the way, if an older guy wants to date my girl and he’s willing to send some cash, I don't see a problem with that," Carlos concluded.
