Tanzanian singer Zuchu has embraced the TikTok trend by labeling herself as an “Understanding Girlfriend.” On TikTok, she wrote, “Occupation: Understanding Girlfriend.”
Zuchu, who is dating Diamond Platnumz, is part of one of East Africa's most celebrated couples. While they often share their glamorous moments on social media, their relationship has faced challenges.
Earlier this year, reports surfaced that Zuchu had moved out of Diamond’s house. She later addressed the situation on social media, explaining that Diamond’s controversial lifestyle had led to her being disrespected.
“I know that being famous and talked about is part of the deal, but please don’t overdo it with false praises just to elevate him. Especially in the local media, where the truth can be found and stories can be balanced,” Zuchu complained on her Instagram page.
She continued, “This is the real reason I left. It’s exhausting to be with someone who exposes you to public criticism while remaining silent and allowing you to be humiliated. His partner becomes a doormat, subjected to disrespect while he sits idly. I’m trying to be a good person, but he’s the weak link in my life.”
