The word went viral after a tiktoker named Jools Lebron shared her video advising how women should dress to work.
Seh was speaking about she gets ready for work, describing her makeup and outfit as demure, and mindful.
Her advise was that it should be emulated as the standard of how we should carry ourselves in the workplace.
As of Aug. 23, the video has received roughly 43.1 million views, over 4.2 million likes and 19,100 comments.
Jools begins by saying
"You see how I do my makeup at work? Very demure, very mindful,"
Adding.
"I don't come to work with a green-cut crease. I don't look like a clown when I go to work. I don't do too much. I'm very mindful while I'm at work. See how I look very presentable? The way that I came to the interview is the way I go to the job."
Dictionary's like Merriam-Webster define "demure" as affectedly modest, reserved or serious.
