Ugandan socialite and entrepreneur, Zari Hassan, has launched a scathing attack on men, just days after having a public disagreement with her husband, Shakib Cham Lutaaya.
In a brief statement posted on Instagram on Friday, the mother of five accused men of secretly building families without the knowledge of their partners.
According to her, while men are busy stepping out of their marriages and relationships, women are focused on making money.
"Women are secretly investing while men are secretly building families," Zari claimed.
She noted that this behavior leads to an imbalance between men and women.
"Take a seat, we are not on the same level," she said.
It is unclear if her message is directly related to recent events in the 43-year-old socialite's marriage or what prompted her to make the post.
A recent visit by singer Diamond Platnumz to Zari and her family in South Africa seemed to stir trouble in the socialite's marriage.
About two weeks ago, Zari took to social media to criticize her husband Shakib and even threatened to leave him. This came after Shakib expressed doubts about the relationship between Diamond and his wife.
In a live social media session, the mother of five revealed that her husband is insecure about their marriage and has been questioning the relationship between her and her co-parent, Diamond Platnumz.
Zari explained that she had to go live to make it clear that she and Diamond are not romantically involved, simply to reassure her husband of her faithfulness in their marriage.
"Let me tell you something, if I wanted to go back to Diamond, I could. If Diamond wanted to get back with me, he could. But we are done. We are completely done. I don't want him, he doesn't want me," Zari said on Sunday night.
The socialite made it clear that she is married, and her co-parent also has a partner.
"My husband is very insecure, and that causes a lot of problems. I have to be here explaining myself. Really? A whole Boss Lady has to do a live session just to assure her husband. This session is to reassure my husband," she added.
The 43-year-old businesswoman emphasized that she has all the qualities and could be with anyone she wants.
"But I chose my husband, and I don't care how you see him. Oh, he's broke, he's not good enough, I don't care. I chose him. I chose to be with him as my husband, and then he puts me through this!!" she said.
Zari hinted that her husband needs to stop being insecure about their marriage if he wants it to thrive.
