Pastor Nganga - I released viral 'Zakayo' song 18 years ago

• The Apostle has recorded seven songs  so far, he disclosed

Apostle James Nganga's other talent is a musician.

Most of his songs go viral including a latest one that was widely used in July on TikTok, to make a political statement.

The song 'Shuka Zakayo' has been meme'd so much that the preacher is commenting on the song's meaning.

He sings the song in front of a crowd in Kitengela, dancing and thrilling his religious followers.

The lyrics are what amused Kenyans, with many noting how creative and befitting to current political and social situations in the country. 

"Kwanini we unasumbuka. Na deni yako yesu amekulipia. Shuka zakayo chini ya mti leo nitakula kwa nyumba yako" he laughs noticing the crowd is thrilling adding "hiyo mmpenda hiyo"

In an undated video, Nganga acknowledges the popularity of his songs and how catchy they are

"I thank God. I have heard Gen Z are singing it a lot, even my other songs" he began to defend himself.

The Chief General Commander rejected the interpretation currently being used online that hits out at the current Head of State.

He claimed it was a coincidence.

"When I released that song, that wasn't the intended meaning. I didn't mean that Zakayo you guys are talking about"

The song was released 18 years ago when he started his career as a musician. He owns several guitars and is known to belt out major tunes with his congregation

"That song, I released it almost 18 years ago. I recorded it at the Kasanga Music studio" he informed Kenyans where the project was composed.

He has 7 songs so far and praised his creativity.

"I have an album with seven songs. I sing often. But I thank God, kama imefika wakati wake wa kufanya jambo."
